Hi guys! This post is combining two previous post that I have done, Time Management and Revision!
Now, as I have told you before, starting early with your revision is key; but, I am yet to tell you how long to spend on each test. I have said before that you should only spend up to 30 minutes at a time doing revision before taking a break or moving on to something else.
But, end of year tests are a looming shadow on all students; so here is how to deal with them:
- Start revising around 6 weeks before the exam (not because you need that long for one exam, but because you have many other subjects to revise for too).
- Only do up to 30 minutes at a time
- Only spend up to 2 and a half hours each day revising (you need to have some other free time during the holidays and weekend leading up to the exam).
- Revise around: 7 hours for subjects that you struggle with, 6 hours for Maths, English, and sciences. 5 hours for humanities (as you make posters for these, and those take less time than making flashcards or practicing example questions).
- Have some days with nothing in
- Only revise up to 4 subjects in one day
- Don’t revise the same subject 2 days in a row
I hope that his was helpful! My book is still live on amazon at: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B082ZMQ9F7/ref=mp_s_a_1_5?keywords=How+to%3A+School&qid=1577030430&s=digital-text&sr=1-5
