How to make January less miserable

Now, unless you have a birthday in January, or a relative has some other key event; then January is simply miserable. Christmas is over, the nearest holiday to look forward to is at least 6 weeks away, you are left with the cold winter. You can’t do very much because the weather is simply rain 24/7, but it is not cold enough yet to really hope for snow! The decorations are gone along with your free time, and teacher pile on tests to make their lessons easier for them.

So, how do we make possibly the worst time of the year less depressing? Here is a simple list:

  • Fill your time, even if they are boring tasks; just fill the time and it will begin to pick up its’ pace.
  • Meet friends, not just out and about, but call; text; and even FaceTime them to make the time that you are stuck at home less miserable.
  • Really push for your New Years Resolutions harder than you ever have. Achieve goals that you didn’t think that you would ever do.
  • Go out and buy things with money that you got for Christmas (if you got any) in the sales.
  • Fill your time at home buy playing with any toys that you got for Christmas.
  • Clean up any mess that is left after Christmas, but don’t do it and then complain about it.
  • Finally, start that new hobby, buy any things required for it. Then, start! Don’t use the weather as an excuse, just do something else that isn’t governed by it!
