How to Deal with All of the Different Types of Teacher – Shushers

This type of teacher is easily recognisable from the get-go, as soon as you walk into the classroom and a random silence envelopes the class. Is it an exam? No! It is a shusher teacher, they maintain a perfect silence throughout the class unless they are talking, or someone is asking a question (with their permission of course!)

These are rather self-centred teachers who will miss out hands up just so that they are the only voice in the room. They also neglect questions asked because those may not be something that they have memorised from their lesson plan. These teachers can commonly be mistaken for strict teachers, but shushers are recognisable for their iconic “Shhhhhhhh!” Or “Be quiet!”.

If you are unfortunate enough to have a class with these teachers, then just do as they ask and look up questions that are left unanswered. Unfortunately, you may need to teach yourself a thing or two that they neglect – but you will have to do more of that with an incompetent teacher, that I will talk about in the future.
