We all have that teacher that doesn’t stop going on and on! And, what doesn’t help these teachers is their insanely boring, drone of a voice! Now, apart from trying to not fall asleep, there are some key problems with having a ranting teacher:
- They are very boring.
- You have no time for them to stop for you to write notes.
- They generally go off on large tangents, so they generally set you a lot of homework.
- They are very boring, and rarely answer your questions.
So, how do you get around these problems? For the fact that they are very boring, just try to get around it by writing as many notes as possible. Not only will this remove the problem of the second point, it will also keep you entertained (hopefully long enough to make it through the lesson).
Now, if they just keep talking, and they don’t want you to write while they talk (I don’t know why they wouldn’t), then you just need to listen for as long as you can without falling asleep, try gently squeezing your fingers to keep yourself awake.
With the large tangents and the vast amounts of homework, with your large amounts of notes which you should’ve written with the last point, the homework should be easier and faster than before. You can not ask the teacher to stop doing the large tangents, you just have to deal with their boring life story.
With the fact that they never answer your questions and are very boring, you can’t deal with them being very boring accept try to march through each lesson, and spend some time at home trying to answer your own questions.
