If you are reading this, then I am probably crying right now over the mountain of homework that I have received. Now, I like to think of myself as a good student, I always do my homework as soon as I can. But, sometimes school gives you so much in a week that you have no time at all. And so, I have created this contingency post so that you guys still get a daily blog.
So, this blog is going to be about time management; because clearly I haven’t managed mine very well. Now, this is not a section from my book; but a bullet point list of some key points. Now, I know that this blog will be really short, but count yourself lucky that you even have todays blog at all.
How to Manage Your Time:
- Do as much homework on the day that you get it, so that there is less to do later on.
- If you get a large project to do, don’t leave it until the last minute to do it, just work out how long you think that you will need to do it (be realistic) and then add an extra hour of grace (encase there is a problem later on). Then divide this time up evenly from now until 3 days before the project is due in (if there is a problem with it, then you still have time to correct it or ask your teacher about it).
- If your homework is really piling up, and you have a lot of work to do, consider going into your schools’ library (if you have one and are allowed in at lunchtime) and do some work during lunch. This can really relieve some of the pressure.
- Now, if you find that a particular after-school activity consistently causes stress over homework, consider moving the day(s) of it to a more manageable time, reduce the time which you spend in the club, remove it completely (this is a last resort), or join a homework club at school/set one up, so that you can get more work done. (Remember that the club is for work, not mucking around).
- Get a planner if your school doesn’t give you one. Or, use the one your school gives you. It is a very vital tool to stay organised.
